IFQs & Federal Fisheries

December 23, 2022

If you missed the NPFMC meeting this month, check out their December newsletter here. The next big item on everyone's radar is the upcoming IPHC Annual Meeting, held in Victoria, BC, January 23-27, when the halibut TAC will be set. We'll be there, will you?

RAM has assessed IFQ fees for the 2022 season, which are due by no later than January 31, 2023. Fees must be paid online in your eFish account, by navigating to the "Payments" tab, selecting "Pay IFQ Cost Recovery Fees" and submitting payment. You may not pay your IFQ fees by check. RAM will not issue 2023 permits unless your 2022 fees have been paid.

Friendly reminder: if you have quota held by a corporation or business entity, you need to fill out a Quota Share Holder Identification of Ownership Interest form before you will be issued 2023 permits. Find that form here.
